Hello!

I love PageBlaster! I just bought my second copy

I have a question for you related to caching - Not with PageBlaster (you may delete this post later as off topic...)

I have multiple parent portals. I can login to one portal and everything is fine. However, for the next hour or so I cannot login into any other portal (I can still login into the original). It just takes me back to the home page unauthenticated. Funny thing is, if I then go back to http://mydomain.com (without the /default.aspx) it does show me the page as if I was logged in - but I can't really update anything - doing update on a page doesn't save, and I get weird errors when trying to bring up the settings in a module.

This problem is driving me crazy! I see in DotNetNuke support other people having the same problem, and I tried deleting all my temporary files, all the cookies, even firing up Firefox (I normally use IE) but it doesn't help. I don't thing it's a browser issue.

I even bought and installed a copy of Pageblaster for this DNN install on the chance that maybe it would disable some DNN caching that is causing this, but alas it didn't help.

Note that PageBlaster is not at fault on this - this happens without PageBlaster.

Sorry to bug you for a non-PageBlaster issue - but I don't know what else to try.

Would you have any clues?

Thanks!

alex

Hi Alex, thanks for the positive feedback.

I have seen things like what you describe happen when you have more than one process pointing at your DNN install.
If you check your App_Pool settings you may find that there is more than one process assigned and DNN should only have one process.

Another thing to look at is to see if you have more than one IIS website pointing at the same install.

This also sounds like you may be having a problem with Http compression, so check in your web.config to see if the DNN compression module is enabled, and if it is then you should comment that out.
