USING v2.02.04

Is it possible to temporarily disable a rule instead of deleting it?  I do not see an option in the UI, so my only option is to change the RegEx to be something that will never be found.

In version 2.x there isn't any specifc way to disable a rule from doing the search, but adding something to the search that will not be found will only slightly degrade performance and and should not be noticeable even if you did that with a lot of rules (since pages are cached after the first request).

You can also move the rule into the Saved Rules folder if you want to save it but not run it (a better option).

In version 3.x there is a RepeatTimes field that can be set to zero, but putting it in the saved rules folder is still a better option.

John, I have noticed PokerDIY.com running a lot slower after I upgraded, so I would like to disable all the rules to see if it makes a difference. Am I correct in saying that the Global PageBlaster UI (under Admin) does NOT have a Saved Rule folder? So I have to go through each rule and set Repeat Time to 0 to disable them all? Any reason why there is not a Saved Rule folder at this level?

The Admin >PageBlaster config screen will load the Saved Rules into the config tree if you click on the button in the toolbar. This is different from the previous version which loaded the saved rules all the time and slowed down the UI.

It is the same in the Admin config screen and the module config screen.

Oh, don't go through and set all the rules to zero yet. I don't think it the rules that are slowing it down, it is because the caching and compression is not working for some reason.
