Access Error suddenly appeared

Hi John, This is really wierd - I am suddenly getting this error when I click on the PageBlaster menu option under Admin: Access to the path 'C:\Inetpub\vhosts\dumbtv.com\httpdocs\DesktopModules\Snapsis\PageBlaster\Config\LocalStrings\PageBlasterConfig.LocalStrings[en-US].js' is denied. It obviously looks like a perms issue but I haven't touched any file perms and nothing has changed on my server. There is plenty of diskspace left... any ideas why it has suddenly started happening? That is strange. The only thing I can think of is that maybe asp.net was forcefully restarted while that file was open. Restarting the application will probably correct it. It's unlikely, but it could also be an external process that has it open (virus scanner). Let me know if it happens again.

This is strange - I restarted my server after installing some updates and the problem still remains (happens everytime). I can't see any other process locking it, and the file has the full access for the IIS User account (Win 2003) (not that any perms were changed). I have asked my Host if they know what may have happened. I can't save config files either (same issue)

Ok, it looks like the IIS WP User has had their rights restricted (only has Read access). I am not sure why this is but I think my host will know more...

Only PB config files? Or are you able to save/update other files? For instance, can you save a rule in SiteUrls.config using the UI on Host > Host Settings?

Yes, sorry, according to PowerDNN it is a known Plesk bug and I had to readd in all my perms - pretty serious if you ask me ;)

This is happening to me too, but the permissions tab looks the same as the rest of the site. [EDIT] I reset the permissions on that directory, and the error went away, but now I am getting this: Access to the path 'E:\[PATH]\DesktopModules\Snapsis\PageBlaster\Config\PortalRules\PageBlaster.PortalRules[ 0 ].config' is denied. [/EDIT]

Recreating the files from scratch worked for the other file - not resetting the permissions. :(
