Ok, I think I have a fix for this.

Either reply to the notification from this post, or use my profile to send me an email and I'll send you a new DLL to try.

I have done some testing and it looks like your fix has worked. As an unauthenticated user, I am now seeing the updated content as soon as an editor saves it AND I am seeing it instantly no matter whether I am using IE or Firefox. In other words, I am no longer seeing the content getting updated for one browser type and not the other.

Can you let us know what you did to fix it?

Myself and my team will continue to test the fix and let you know if any problems show up.

Thanks so much for dealing with this!

Hi Laurence,
Thanks for getting back to me on your results.

Before, I was relying on a cache dependency callback to cleanup the disk files. In other words, I would remove it from memory and that was supposed to trigger a background operation to cleanup the disk files. This was apparently unreliable and hard to recreate consistently.

The change I made was to call the disk clean-up directly after removing the page from memory cache.

This is great news. Any idea when this update will be available for others to download?

Kind Regards,

Simon

Hi Simon,
It is available now.  Just put it on the site a few hours ago.
