I noticed that the forum statistics are not updated when I view a thread as unauthenticated user. This means that the number of views shown in the forums no longer show the real number of views. Is there a workaround for this?

Right, the statistics won't be updated until the cache for that page is not refreshed. The work-around if you want those to be closer to real-time is: 1. Cache for a smaller duration 2. Refresh the cache with CTRL +F5 3. Don't cache those pages at all PageBlaster Pro will give you more options too.

An exclusion like: < PATH exclude From="All" pattern="view=topic" / > keeps the statistics but all other pages are cached.
