I installed the Community version of PB 3.2.2.  Installation went without incident and there were no issues with the display of website content.

A few days later I entered an IP address in the configuration section to see the additional features available in the Professional edition –that’s when my troubles began.  I didn’t realize that this would block others from seeing my site. Everyone other than from the IP I had entered just see displays of random numbers and symbols.  I tried removing the IP address but was unable to do so.

Figuring that if I purchase a license my problems should be resolved, I proceeded to do so. Unfortunately, I am in the same situation.  Even with a valid license key in place, I can only see my website from the original ip address that I specified.

At the moment I have thrown up a maintenance message on the site so that users don’t get too frustrated.

I have already emailed you directly with additional information including a trace file.

Please help.

You were correct in assuming that entering the IP address for your license key should not change what others are normally seeing, so I think there may be a different problem here.

You can delete the PageBlaster.lic file in the DesktopModules/Snapsis/PageBlaster/Config folder to remove the license.

You may also need to clear your PageBlaster cache and restart your web application from Host > Host Settings

I'll look for the additional details and see if I can help further.

I have removed the pageblaster.lic file and removed the maintenance message. Since I am working from the pc that has always worked, I cannot tell if the change has made a difference.
How does it look from your side?

I'm seeing the random numbers and symbols. It appears that you have double-compression happening.
Make sure that the core compression module is commented out in the web.config.

If that doesn't work you can try putting an exclude path in your Snapsis.PageBlaster.config file (located in the root of your website), like this:

< path pattern=".*" excludeFrom="Compression" />

I have commented out the core compression module. Any change in what you see?

Yes, it looks like it is working now.

Did you notice a lag when you first hit the website? It seems faster after it loads once, but is still quite pokey with the initial display. I also have CTV flash module on the home page to display photos. Is there any tuning that I can do to speed things up further.

Thanks.

There is a slight lag, I'm measuring 1.3 seconds which is pretty good.
I would recommend removing the login module from the home page. It'll help speed only a little, but from a new visitor perspective I don't think it is the most prominent thing you should display.

Another thing that will help is to use a CSS based navigation menu instead of the javascript one.
